Checkmate

Chess. What is chess? Chess is “a board game of strategic skill for two players, played on a checkered board. Each player begins the game with sixteen pieces that are moved and used to capture opposing pieces according to precise rules. The object is to put the opponent's king under a direct attack from which escape is impossible ( checkmate)”, definition from online source.

Chess can be either a you love it or you hate it kind of thing. I personally enjoy playing chess because I started playing at a very young age with my family. And that lead me to join the chess club in grade school… good times. But none the less whether you grew up with it or without give it a shot it can actually be enjoyable and mind boggling and you can actually always find ways to better yourself at it. Having friendly competitions with friends are always a treat, so give it a shot. Just because it’s a board game don’t consider it boring.

(It’s so exhilarating getting your pawns in the enemy’s territory.)
