X-Men: Evolution

X-Men: Evolution is an American animated television series about the Marvel Comics superhero team X-Men. Back when I was younger I would watch this series but surprisingly I did not finish watching it so i have decided to take it upon myself to rewatch the series from the beginning. In this series you will practically notice that the characters are an incarnation, many of the characters are teenagers rather than adults. Which is pretty cool because they are going through similar things teens now a days are going through, besides being mutants. The series ran for a total of four seasons (52 episodes) from November 2000 until October 2003 and is the third longest-running Marvel Comics animated series. If you're a fan check it out.

The Fair

When the Fair comes around it is usually looked as for entertainment but if you are in High School this might be neat. Miami-Dade County high school seniors may apply for more than $70,000 in college scholarships offered this spring by the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition. Seniors enrolled in public and private high schools in Miami-Dade County are eligible for the awards. To date, The Fair has awarded over $8 million in scholarships, premiums, and awards to Miami-Dade high school graduates to help them achieve college educations. This program is a cornerstone of our commitment to community service...... Who knew.

Mario Kart Just Got Real

Mario Kart the video game has now been transferred and transformed to be done in real time. This was not done by only adding Mario Kart accesories in real-life: speed bursts, turtle shells and four-player split screens. This all occured in order to cross-promote Nintendo’s new Mario Kart 8 with a new Pennzoil motor oil, the two companies joined forces to create the most accurate version of the beloved racing game on a real-life track. The break down of this is each kart was outfitted with an RFID tag reader that registered RFID tags on the track. These tags were item icons: speed bursts, turtle shells, etc. When a kart hit a speed burst icon, it sped up; when it hit a turtle shell, it slowed down. Each race consisted of three-and-a-half laps around the RFID-laced track. The karts also have GoPro cameras that fed each driver’s point-of-view to a jumbo monitor next to the track. These feeds formed a four-player split screen that resembled the video game’s split screen.

North Korea

North Korea fired 25 short-range rockets into the sea off its east coast Sunday seemed to be in a continuation of protests against ongoing U.S.-South Korean military drills. Short-range rocket tests are usually considered routine, as opposed to North Korean long-range rocket or nuclear tests, which are internationally condemned as provocations. North Korea has conducted a string of similar short-range launches in recent weeks that have coincided with the annual military drills by allies Washington and Seoul. North Korea's view on the matter is that the drills are a preparation for an invasion. The allies say the exercises, which last year prompted North Korean threats of nuclear war against the South and the United States, are routine and defensive in nature.
